Mixed Breed | male | 11 weeks Old | 12 Lbs
🐕 Good with dogs! 🐈 Good with cats! 🧸Loves to play! 🥰Snuggle Pup! 😀Friendly! 🐶Typical Puppy!
Peppermint is an 11-week-old brindle puppy with a playful spirit and a very sweet soul. He’s full of typical puppy energy and loves to play, explore, and learn about the world around him. Like most puppies his age, he’s still figuring out his manners and will sometimes nibble hands and feet, but he responds well to redirection. Asking him to “sit” or offering a toy helps him reset, and he’s already showing how quickly he learns.
Peppermint enjoys independent play when things are calm, but he loves having a canine companion. He’s spent a lot of time with a 4-year-old pit mix and is completely obsessed with her — following her around and constantly inviting her to play. His enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much, but it comes from a very happy, social place. He would do well in a home with or without other pets.
When playtime is over, Peppermint is a big snuggler. He’s affectionate and loving, though cuddling can be a little tricky right now due to occasional puppy nibbling. When he’s overtired, he prefers some space while sleeping and does best when that boundary is respected.
Peppermint is doing well with potty training. He goes every time he’s taken outside but is still having occasional indoor accidents, which is very normal for his age. He’s learning to ring bells on the door to let you know when he needs to go out — a great sign of how smart and communicative he is.
He’s also working on crate training and making nice progress. He willingly goes into his crate and is learning how to calm himself down. While he may cry briefly when first left alone, he settles on his own and continues to improve each day.
Peppermint is treat-motivated when he’s not overstimulated and definitely has favorites, which makes training both effective and fun. He hasn’t been around kids yet, so any introductions would need to be thoughtful and supervised.
Overall, Peppermint is a loving, playful, and quick-learning puppy who will thrive with a family ready to continue his training, provide structure, and enjoy all the joy (and puppy antics!) that come with raising a young dog.
Peppermint will be adopted out with an addendum to his contract to be neutered at an appropriate age.
