QUICK FACTS: ✔️ Good with other dogs! ✔️ Good with cats! ✔️ Good with kids! ✔️ Potty trained! ✔️ Crate trained! 🥰Snuggle Pup 😀Friendly

Penny has never met a stranger. She loves meeting new people and loves attention. She is the first one to snuggle up with you on the couch and ask for pets. Penny has met several small children in our care and has done amazingly well. She is very gentle and tolerates being poked and prodded. She would do well in a home with younger or older children.

Penny gets along well with every dog she has met, large and small. She gives other dogs the space they need and isn't pushy. She could live in a home with pretty much any other dog. Penny isn't super interested in playing with our resident dog, she prefers to play on her own with her toys. Speaking of which, she LOVES squeaky toys!

Penny has met a couple cats briefly and done well. She didn't seem too interested in them.

Penny does well around the house. She is fully potty trained and goes to our back door when she has to potty, which is typically after she eats. Penny is crate trained. She sleeps in her crate overnight with no issues. She is also crated when we leave the house. She typically cries briefly before settling in and falling asleep.

Beagles are a high energy breed, so Penny likes to be busy. She loves to go for walks, sniff in the backyard, and play with her toys. We are working on her leash manners. She gets so excited to walk and sniff that she does tug on the leash. We walk her with a harness for more control. Penny needs to be well secured outside, as she tends to follow her nose and could wander off.

A typical day for Penny includes at least two 30 minute walks and lots of playtime. She came to us not knowing any commands, so we have been working on learning sit, down, place, and come.

Overall, Penny is a sweet, energetic, happy girl who would fit in almost anywhere!
