Berry was found off a hiking trail, very skinny and scared and miles from the nearest town. We took him home and immediately started looking for owners. He an another dog he was with were so sweet, loving, and well-behaved we couldn’t believe they had been left intentionally, but no one ever claimed them.
Berry came into a house with two loud, crazy kids and two tiny, loud, crazy dogs, and not only has he continued to be a loving and gentle presence in our house, he actually improved the behavior of our lap dogs. He barely barks and is very obedient and quick to quiet when told.
Berry is great with kids and sleep in our 10 year old’s room (and sometimes his bed after a scary movie night). He's playful, but his favorite thing to do is cuddle. When we first found him he just wanted to be held all the time. He has been around other dogs, cats, and even chickens and turkeys and is great with other pets.
We fell in love and cannot bear to take him to a shelter. However, our home is very small and we have no yard. We work and can’t give he or his brother regular walks or outdoor access. We want to do whatever we can to give them their best life, and that means finding their forever home!
