If you're looking for a spunky love-bug who wants nothing more than to be your shadow, look no further! Wanda is here to be your best friend and adventure buddy!

Wanda came out of the transport van from Alabama ready to play and share all the love! She confidently showed her more timid littermates that walking off with their new fosters was not only safe but the funnest time ever! When Wanda joined our family, she was ready to play but had some trouble understanding that people aren't puppies. It was an overwhelming first couple of days. But Wanda is so full of love and is so eager to please that she has made huge progress with her puppy nipping and lunging, in just a week! Wanda is doing a great job of just chewing on her own toys, but does absolutely love to eat paper and is irresistibly drawn to cat toys too!

Each day, Wanda waits patiently to be let out of her crate and boldly declares her top priority: belly rubs before all! Onces she gets her fill she hops outside for a potty break. Then it's breakfast (doing great with the "sit" and "stay" commands until released to start eating), some play time, and then another potty break. On work days, Wanda spends the day in her crate chewing on some favorite toys. After a long day of expertly holding it in, Wanda begins her evening with a potty break, dinner, and some major play time outside. Her favorite is when the neighbor dog comes over for some wrestling. The evening winds down with some nap location hopping around the living room and getting lots of pets and snuggles from her foster family. Wanda wants to be wherever the action is, and wants nothing more than to be with her people!

Wanda is good with dogs. She does do a bit of growling and barking at first, but has been responding really well to the "quiet" command and lots of praise and snuggles. She has playdates with a neighbor rat terrier mix and after an initial growl and a few barks, they had an absolute blast (see video). Wanda has done very well with my 3 cats. She mostly gives them space but definitely would prefer if they would play with her. Wanda has done well overall with my kids (10 and 13) but is still learning that they're not littermates and should not be pummelled with paws and play bites. So the best home for her might be one with kids who are experienced with energetic dogs or puppies. Wanda is a so-excited-to-meet-you pee leaker, so just something to be aware of when introducing her to new human buddies.

Wanda has done well on walks but definitely loves having a fenced yard to run freely in. She does exceptionally love eating vegetation, so her family will need to make sure that there are no toxic plants in the yard.

Wanda tested positive for hookworms and will be receiving treatment on June 18.
