Tawny is a super sweet 50lb lap warmer. She loves playing with other dogs, chasing a ball, or going on walks. After a bit of fun, she’s ready to cuddle on the couch with her favorite people.
Overall, Tawny is a really great dog. She’s fun and bright-eyed, but very chill. She’s very socially savvy with other dogs and loves playing in the yard with my dog every morning before work. Tawny knows my other dog doesn’t want to play and make good, respectful choices on her own. Just keep an eye on her with wire fences because she’s tried climbing them. She respects backyard chickens, has been good with cats, and has done well with children. She can be shy around men at first, but with slow introductions, she will melt into their laps too. Having another confident dog friend around makes her feel braver. She would thrive with a dog sibling. She loves food, but is patient and not over the top about it.
She loves her crate and can be left home during a full day of work. She’s potty trained, pretty quiet at home, not destructive, and rides perfectly in a car.
She can’t wait to find her forever home with lots of soft beds and nice treats.
