Meet Scooby, the bestest, goodest boy you will ever find. The only mystery is how a boy this sweet ever ended up in a shelter!
Scooby an almost 1 year old puppy with the heart and soul of a five year old dog. He is the friendliest dog I have ever known, and in his time with me he has met 8 dogs (ranging 13 - 90lbs) and ~10 humans and has never once growled, barked, or raised his hair at any of them. He falls in love with every human and dog he meets! His play style is a bit rough, but he plays great with every dog he meets and quickly understands when they are not interested in playing and will respect their space.
Scooby loves to snuggle and would love nothing more than to be attached to your hip at all times. He can be a bit needy, but is easily redirected when needed. At 90ish lbs and still growing (sideways), he is the epitome of a gentle giant who does not understand how big he is, and will force his way into too small of spaces on the couch/bed just to be next to you and somehow makes himself fit. If he had his way, he would snuggle with you 24/7!
So far he has been good with being left to roam alone (but with other dogs) with no issues. He was reported to potentially have separation anxiety, but I have not been able to confirm that as he has never truelly been home alone. I think he would be good alone as long as he had another friend to keep him company. He is left to roam free at night, but prefers to snuggle in bed with you and then moves to the floor if he gets too hot.
He is a very intelligent and well behaved boy, with the exception that he does occasionally mark inside the house and loves to chew on fabric - primarily soft toys - and shouldn't be left unsupervised with them. He sometimes exhibits a prey drive when a smaller dog gets riled up, so it is unknown how he would be with cats.
Scooby is a very sweet, handsome, good boy with medium energy that wants nothing more to cuddle and play. He would be best in a home with other dogs (preferably his size) to play with and has access to outside. While very well behaved, he would probably thrive best with a family familiar with big dogs and their needs.
