Since coming into our home, Ozzie has lived a cozy life. He is let out of his room when we get up in the morning and runs right to the door to go outside. Once outside, he will pee on every bush and tree he can. Ozzie loves running around our fenced in yard long after he has finished his morning potty. He likes to patrol the fence line and make sure he has not missed a hidden hole he could squeeze thru. After potty, he eats breakfast with our own dog and will get a treat after. As we get ready for work, Ozzie will follow us around with a toy and we play with him. When we leave for work, Ozzie is gated in our office instead of free roaming around the house, this is to keep him from marking in the house.
When we are home from work, Ozzie goes outside again. If it is nice out, we take him for a walk. For a little guy, he sure does love to walk,, Unfortunately, since it is cold right now, we have not gone for very long walks, usually we go to the end of the street and come back. We will play with Ozzie, or he will sit on our lap and watch TV until it is time for dinner. After dinner, it is time for more play or lap cuddles.
At bedtime, he is gated in his room. We do not close him into a kennel. Instead the kennel and dog bed are left in his room, and he will sleep in one of those at night.
Since Ozzie is so energetic and loves his people, we recommend that he goes to a home without cats.
If you are looking for a little dude who can keep you on your toes (& still slow down for a cuddle sesh), Ozzie could be the dog for you!
