Midnight is currently living the good life. She wakes between 7-8 am, goes out to go potty then comes in for her breakfast. She spends much of her day lounging on my daughter's bed watching her do online school. There are several cuddle breaks, walk breaks, and play breaks throughout the day. She watches our Border Collie chase a tennis ball and occasionally will run after one herself. We keep her close by as we do our daily activities, especially since she has chewed a few things she shouldn't. Some of each day is also devoted to teaching her basic commands that she hasn't learned yet and playing mental games with her.

She loves to be around people. Midnight loves to snuggle and get pets. We don't have young kids in our house or life (Covid has nixed family visits) so we don't know how she will react to smaller humans. She is good about not jumping up on people when meeting them and has enjoyed making many new friends while staying with us. We have noticed that she does not enjoy being picked up or held on a lap. It makes her uncomfortable and she shuts down instantly, but she loves to snuggle up next to you on her terms.

Midnight is a pretty chill dog who has the occasional burst of energy. She also loves to go for walks outside. She doesn't pull on the leash but she does have the tendency to drift into our legs when walking.

Midnight hasn't met a dog she doesn't like and would love to play with our Border Collie more often, but our Border is all about chasing toys. A dog who loves to play with dogs would be a great companion for her. She seems to be submissive to all the dogs she has met so far. We don't have cats, so we don't know how she is with them.

She is only left in her crate when we leave. Midnight has whined and barked some but will stay quiet longer if given a peanut butter Kong treat toy or if you lightly cover the crate. She's still learning that her humans will return to her. If left unattended for too long, things that you don't want chewed might get chewed. We only leave hard toys in the crate with her. Soft ones will meet their demise.

Midnight has so much potential to be the perfect dog for your family. With training classes, some time, effort, and treats, she will learn to be exactly the dog your family wants and needs, and she will reward you richly with love, snuggles, and kisses. She is the sweetest dog and has the softest, most velvety ears to pet. She loves getting pets and belly rubs and loves to give kisses. She will bring a lot of love to your family. It will be hard to let her go. She'll always hold a special place in our hearts.
