How can you look at those eyes and not fall in love. Meet Lamar. He is a loving, cuddly, adventurous boy. He is currently 15 weeks old and has the perfect amount of energy and snuggles. He is a Texas boy looking for a home that can keep him engaged and active. He likes to be where his people or other foster brothers are. Lamar LOVES all people, children, and especially other dogs, but he also loves spending an afternoon sitting on the deck sunbathing. He is very food motivated and loves to hang out with a good busy bone. He is working on his leash training but has made some great progress and doesn’t pull too much when his 9-year-old foster brother takes him for walks. He is a typical puppy that is still working on potty training and knowing what he can and can’t chew on. He needs owners that are patient while he masters those skills. He is currently taken out every two hours and has limited accidents. When he sleeps with us at night, he can sleep for a solid 8 hours without any accidents, snuggling next to you is his favorite. He doesn’t like to sleep in his crate that long at night but with time he could get there if that is what you prefer. Lamar does great with car rides with little to no whining. He has been very socialized in different settings and has never had any issues. From weddings, Fetch events, birthday parties, and baseball games. He really can be your partner in crime with anything. He really is a perfect boy!
Update:
Lamar has mastered the skill of being in his crate when we are gone and at night. He will sleep in his crate at night from about 9p-7a without any whining or barking. Lamar loves to play with his pet foster brothers and sisters as well as his human foster brother. He is such a lover and full of energy. Lamar walks great on a leash and loves socializing at events. He is really a great pup that will be an amazing addition to any home. Taking treats gentle and mastering the skills of listening when he is asked to come in from outside. It’s hard not to fall in love with those eyes.
Lamar will be adopted out with an addendum to his contract to be neutered at an appropriate age.
