"Will they love me, how I love them? I'm ready to meet my family!"-Javy

A day in the life of Javy consists of sleeping (on dog bed or home furniture), eating, taking meds, enjoying treats, snuggling with humans/dogs, playing with mentally stimulating toys, following his people around, and potty breaks.  He has had zero potty accidents while here.

He is ALWAYS sweet, friendly, warm, and welcoming with people!  Javy does not have exposure to children.

Javy is amazing on leash. He likes going out to sniff new scents, running in the fenced yard, and snuggling on his doggy bed. Javy isn't too picky, as long as he is with his people!

He is highly in tune to his surroundings--very smart. He will protect himself but isn't too protective. Javy is super resilient and adaptable. In or out of the home, he is the same. He can bum around and be cool or go out and run with the others. Javy doesn't mind sitting back and observing the other goofy poochers. He will occupy his mind with a toy to himself or engage in playing with the others. There are two other dogs in his foster home. They have pretty strong personalities and are highly active. While they all get along, Javy's picture purrfect home would be most beneficial if surrounded by another calm, lightly playful, gentle dog.

He expresses interest in cats, but with the other foster in the house, dogs and cats have remained separated.

Javy does not do well let alone and has separation anxiety.  He tends to bark and thrash in his kennel.  Javy is a bit of an escape artist. He has been left to free roam for a short period of time and did well. Because he did well alone, he was left out again, in which he chewed stuff up (trash/pens on counter/his blanket). He does not like to be alone!  Ideally, he will find a family/person that won't be gone for long periods of time and is able to find a sitter or doggy daycare if required, at least until he does better with this!

Javy is being treated for Lymes disease with a course of antibiotics.  He does not show any clinical signs of Lyme disease so treatment is proactive.  Javy shows some tartar accumulation so adopters can expect a dental needed in the next 1-2 years.

He is looking for a home to willing include him in their life completely-- he prefers to be a part of any family function and is terrified of being left out!
