Meet Huckleberry
Huck is a sweet, fun loving guy . He is 9 months old and has a silky coat weighing in at 43 pounds. Huck would love to find his new home with someone ready for a young dog that has a nice start on his training. Huck is an affectionate and tolerant hound mix. He hasn’t met any children yet. He likes attention and playtime outside or with toys and chews inside. Huck cuddles up on the couch and watches movies at the end of the day. He is crate trained and has been sleeping quietly at night and resting during the day. Huck does well with his potty training and is keeping to a good routine. He enjoys sniffing walks on a leash or in a fenced yard. Huck is working hard on short training sessions like waiting at the door, walking nicely on the leash and respecting his handlers personal space. He has started training on place, sit, settling calmly while watching distractions like birds and rabbits in the yard. Huck has been on outings to the groomer for nail trimming and to Farm and Fleet for some shopping. He did fantastic and made some new friends. He is a typical young adolescent that is curious but can also startle if he doesn’t understand something yet. With a little time and a patient friend to teach him how things work and what is expected, he will reward you with years of loyal company and fun adventures.
