Meet Hickory

Hickory is a fun loving, lovable mixed breed pup. He loves both humans and dogs equally and gets along with them well! He has also been introduced to cats. Hickory is friendly and ready to play.  He is very easy going, he doesn't mind being corrected by other dogs. He would be a great second dog to a family. He is growing so fast he can sometimes be a bit clumsy but he doesn’t care. He loves to run and play. He is a typical puppy and loves to chew on chew bones and toys.

He sleeps in his crate well and enjoys sleeping. He sleeps through the night from 9:30-6:00.  He is a great napper! He loves to lay by your feet and be near you. He gets his energy out playing with other dogs so he would be a great a doggie daycare candidate. He is only 10 weeks old but we have made good progress on potty training. We have work to do but that is to be expected.

He has been around my 7 yo grandson and is working on not jumping on him. He is very excited by kids and sits in their laps and gives kisses at events. He has worked hard to change puppy nibbles into puppy kisses.

He would be a great dog for a work at home person or someone gone 4-5 hours.  He loves to be pet and is just a fool for attention but also self entertains with a bone on his bed. He likes to lay by you on the couch at night. He is food and praise motivated.  He learns quickly when doing something you don’t approve of and is picking up things quickly.

Hickory rides well in the car in a crate. He needs to work on leash training. He will whine when he is ready to get out of his crate but otherwise is a pretty quiet boy.

He is such sweetheart and ready for his forever family!

Louisiana litter

Born in the heart of Louisiana, this special litter of mixed-breed puppies has been on quite the journey! Their mama disappeared, leaving them to fend for themselves, but at about three weeks old, they were rescued and placed in loving foster care before journeying to Wisconsin. They’ve been growing, learning, and getting ready for their forever homes!

Named after strong and beautiful trees, these pups are as unique as the Louisiana bayou: Hickory is the gentle old soul in a puppy’s body, full of love.

Since being in foster care, they’ve been well-socialized with people, dogs, cats, and all the sounds of a loving home and they can’t wait to find families of their own.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, meet this litter today and see if one of these little pups might be the perfect match for you!

Adopting a newborn puppy from Fetch

At Fetch, we’re proud of the loving, healthy puppies born and raised in our care. We have raised more than 200 newborn puppies and counting, in addition to countless litters transferred to us when they were just days old. Each puppy receives round-the-clock attention, expert care, and a whole lot of love from the very start. Our team of volunteers work tirelessly to make sure they get everything they need, from socialization and basic training to regular veterinary visits. By the time our puppies are ready to go to their forever homes, they are well-prepared to join families and bring joy to their adopters’ lives.

Adopting a puppy from Fetch means you don’t have to go to a breeder to find a healthy, happy companion. Our puppies are raised to be adaptable, comfortable around people and other animals, and ready to embrace new experiences. We take time to observe each puppy’s unique personality, so when it’s time for them to join a new family, we make sure it’s the right fit. This individualized approach helps our puppies thrive in their new homes and brings joy to everyone involved. We have a select few foster homes that specialize in raising litters, and have each raised dozens of litters for our rescue. Having an experienced eye care for these puppies as they grow up is critical to their long-term success.

When you choose to adopt a puppy through Fetch, you’re not only welcoming a wonderful puppy into your family, but you’re also helping to save more lives. Each adoption frees up space and resources for other dogs who need our care, allowing us to help more animals find loving homes. Adopting a puppy from Fetch Wisconsin Rescue gives you a lifelong companion and supports our mission to save lives—one pup at a time.
