Hemingway sleeps quietly in the crate at night (usually 10 p.m. - 6 or 6:30 a.m.). After looking to be pet and giving some kisses in the morning, he will go outside to potty and then come back quickly to wait for his breakfast. After breakfast, he will usually play, hang out or follow me around the house. He will go out at least one more time before being crated while I'm at work. He loves being around people and dogs. He is very playful, sweet, energetic and affectionate; however, he doesn't seem to realize his size and loves being a lap dog. Hemingway is smart and learns quickly. In addition to being crate-trained, he is house-trained and picks up on routines quickly. I am working with him to not jump up or bark at the dogs when they don't immediately play with him. Hemingway walks quite well on leash and enjoys walks in addition to running around the yard. I think he would do well with doggy daycare also. I think Hemingway will be an amazing addition to an adopter's family.
