Haley is a sweet 1 year old southern mutt that is getting used to house life (couches are amazing!) in Wisconsin. Her litter was saved and socialized by trustees in a rural Texas jail and now she’s looking for a permanent home to call her own!
She is incredibly sweet but a bit intimidated by new people and places and needs reassurance while she gets more comfortable. Once she learns to trust you, she is very loyal. She has met a few people outside of the house and gets more confident with each interaction! She loves her crate and uses it as a safe space. She sleeps in her crate at night and is also crated while her foster mom is gone at work. She has quickly picked up on potty training and has no accidents inside when she is kept on her routine.
Haley is very friendly with the resident dog and loves to play with toys. She will snuggle up at night but being a working breed mix, she will need daily exercise; she would be a great running buddy! She typically goes on a 10 minute walk in the morning before work, a 15-20 minute walk in the afternoon and a short walk to go potty before bed. This amount of exercise has been enough to keep Haley happy and entertained but she is always ready for more! She met a dog-savvy cat and was interested but good at respecting the cat's space. Haley has not had any interactions with children.
