✅ Surrendered from an abusive home. He does take some time to get used to you but after, he is the sweetest dog.

Frito is a super-smart, loving, active dog who thrives with learning, sniffing, and getting treats for good behavior! He is looking for a consistent, loving home to help him become his best doggie-self. He LOVES to cuddle and curl up across your lap, or next to you in bed if you let him. He is fully potty trained, and walks well on a leash (unless there has just been a very exciting bunny-sighting!) He learns quickly and now knows "sit," "down," "touch," "spin," "jump on," "off," and is making great strides with place training. I think he would do great with someone interested in keeping his active mind busy with scent, agility or other types of training. He is an enthusiastic hiking companion: though he does like to sniff out his environment, he can be redirected fairly well. He has done well with every dog he's met and is learning that passing other dogs and bicycles in our busy neighborhood is no big deal. He does get into human or dog food if within his reach, so he should not be left to free roam in a kitchen. However, he has not been destructive of household objects, shoes or clothes when left unattended. If you're looking for a fun-loving and cuddly companion, Frito Burrito is the dog for you!
