"Beautiful!" "Regal!" "A total snuggle-bug!" These are some things people are saying about Diamond!

Some things about Diamond:
--Fully potty trained. Never had an accident inside.
--Crate trained. Will sleep quietly through the night in her crate and will hang out in there for up to four hours during the day if you're away. She can also be left alone at home to free roam for shorter periods.
--Medium energy. She will match your energy level. Happy to have two long walks and a couple short trips outside during the day. She's also delighted to run around like a maniac in your backyard, go for a longer walk, or sleep next to you all day on the couch on rainy days.
--An absolute lover! She warmed up to her foster parents pretty quickly. Once she identifies you as "her" human, Diamond will shower you with love and snuggles, and wants nothing more than to please you!
--Gentle with treats, toys, and food. She'll let you take her favorite bone right out of her mouth without complaint.
--Treat motivated and very smart, making training easier.
--Loving the good life in Wisconsin! Obsessed with couches, dogs beds, treats, toys, snow, and sniffing new places! She will entertain herself with a tennis ball, gladly play a game of tug, or happily chase after a ball if you're throwing! Loves basking in the sun.
--Quickly learning to walk well on a leash with minimal pulling.
--Does fine on car rides.
--Does fine with baths.
--Minimal barker. Would do fine in an apartment!

Things to note:
--Diamond needs slow introductions to new people.
--Diamond needs to be the only dog in the home. She has not done well with either of her foster siblings.
--Diamond has a strong prey drive and should not be placed in a home with cats or small children. She also needs special attention when walking by squirrels, bunnies, chickens, and other small critters.
--When Diamond arrived in foster she was very leash reactive, but has made amazing progress! Nonetheless, she would do best with someone who has some experience reading dog body language and who is willing to keep working with her on this.
--Diamond is a jumper! She should not be left unsupervised in a backyard with a fence shorter than 6 feet until she has been trained not to leave the yard.
--Diamond has exhibited some occasional resource guarding around comfy spaces (couch, bed). She has made progress on this, and would do best with someone who can keep working with her on this!

All in all Diamond is a wonderful, sweet, loving pup that will make the right person or family very happy!
