Hi! I'm Buttercup. I'm a sweet, shy at first little lady that loves to snuggle with humans, dogs, and cats. I should go to a home with another pet because I feel so much more comfortable with a friend. Once I warm up to you, I am super outgoing and love to play! I am fully potty trained and I'm past my chewing phase, although I can't always tell the difference between baby toys and dog toys! My foster parents often have children visit (ages 5 months, 6, 9, 10, and 12) and I am good with them. I try to be respectful of their boundaries and am easily redirected with a no if I grab a baby toy. I exhibit no prey drive with cats or creatures outside and I walk great on a leash! I like to be with humans, but I won't seek out pets until I'm comfortable with you. Then, I hope you will snuggle with me as I like to nap in your lap!
On a typical day I go to the bathroom every few hours and am fully potty trained. I'm good at letting you know when I need to go outside and will paw at the bell I use to let you know I really need to go if it's an emergency. I am working on crate training too and I am treat-motivated. I eat around 7a and 7p, after my potty breaks, and I love learning new things. So far I've learned sit, wait, leave it, and come here. I like toys of any kind and I'd really love a foster dog brother or sister to play with! I've been very laidback with teeth brushing, wearing clothes, and nail clipping. I slept through the last nail clipping my foster mom gave me. I'm a sponge who can learn a lot and would thrive in a loving home where someone is willing to teach me things and also be a couch potato with me.
