Bonnie is a great, calm, and happy dog. She is a 1-year-old Corgi mix who loves getting pets, snuggles, and being near her humans. She is a low-energy dog, she enjoys a good walk, or some zoomies in the backyard and then is ready to find a comfy place to nap inside. She is a great, well-rounded dog looking for her forever home.
Bonnie is best described as a go-with-the-flow dog. If you want to play, she's ready to play fetch and zoom around for a short while. If you want to nap, she is ready to cuddle and snooze at a moment's notice. If you're busy with work she will keep herself occupied with toys and find a comfy place to nap. She is always happy to be included in whatever you are doing. She would make a perfect family dog for a first-time dog owner.
Bonnie has done great with every dog she has met. She loves zooming around the yard with her new dog friends. She has interacted with both high-energy and low-energy dogs and did great with both. When she is done playing, she will just walk away and lie down.
Bonnie is currently living with 3 cats and does amazing with them. She has mostly ignored them and will give them the occasional sniff or lick if they get close enough to her.
Bonnie hasn’t met any small humans but is respectful of space and calm and gentle with all the adults she has met. She loves all attention and is happy to be picked up or moved around.
Bonnie is mostly quiet but does occasionally bark if someone walks by the house. She is easily redirected and will stop barking when we call her name.
Bonnie sleeps in her crate at night and when we aren’t home. She is great about going into her crate for a treat and is happy to settle down for a nap right away. Bonnie is also great at free-roaming in the house and hasn’t gotten into anything she shouldn't.
Bonnie is fully house-trained and hasn't had any accidents inside with us. She will come to us and whine to let us know she needs to go out.
Bonnie is starting to show interest in dog toys and will play fetch for a bit, then take the toy to munch on. Bonnie doesn’t mind sharing her treats and toys with her other dog friends. Bonnie has relocated a couple of shoes in her foster home but has never chewed on or destroyed them.
Bonnie is great about eating her meals right away and also likes treats. She is a gentle treat-taker and is calm around food and treats too.
