Acorn is a sweet & happy girl! She is the perfect medium size and medium energy. She loves going on walks and playing with dogs & toys. She occupies herself well.

Acorn is shy with new people and prefers introductions at her own pace. After a few minutes of inquiring, she is typically friendly and accepts pets. She has briefly met children in public and done well. However, she startles easily in general, so I think living with young children would be too scary for her at this time.

Acorn loves other dogs and does well with my dog (occasionally gets jealous) but would also do well as an only dog. On walks, she sometimes barks at other dogs in a frustrated attempt to meet them, but overall, she walks very well on leash. She doesn't appear to have a strong prey drive on walks. Cats are unknown.

Acorn is crate trained and does fine being crated during the work day and overnight. She does well in my apartment and only barks if my dog is barking or if she feels excluded. She is usually too busy with her toys & chews to snuggle on the couch for long periods of time.

Acorn is making good progress with potty training. She has not had an accident in two days but needs supervision and a schedule; utilizing her crate helps a lot.

Acorn quickly learned that a 'sit' will get her the attention she wants, but kitchen counters are still too tempting for her to stay off of. She is nervous about putting a harness/jacket on, getting out of the car (rides well though), and loud trucks.

Once Acorn trusts you, she will be your best friend and most loyal companion!
